India’s protest to the joint Pakistan-China declaration on Kashmir is rejected by Pakistan

Pakistan strongly dismissed India’s concerns over claims being made as pertains to Jammu and Kashmir in the communiqué released by both Pakistan and China on Tuesday referring to the Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory in accordance with the United Nations charter.

During the news briefings of a statement of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs delivered on June 03, FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch highlighted that the Kashmir issue has been in the UNSC list for more than 70 years.

“It is evident from the Security Council’s resolutions on the subject that a free and impartial plebiscite overseen by the UN will serve as the principal mechanism for settling these disputed territories. The legal clause,” the spokesman emphasized.
